Christmas Cards and Prelit Christmas Trees
The Art of Sending Christmas Cards
While there are tons of themes out there for prelit Christmas trees, many people look for something that is going reuse those older things that they have on hand. With this being said, the use of old Christmas cards as decor for your prelit Christmas trees is becoming a huge trend. Why is this? People like having the ability to use those old items that they would normally throw out, and you will find that if you get a lot of cards each year, you can almost always have a tree that looks slightly different year after year.
The Magic of Prelit Christmas Trees
So, how can you use those old Christmas cards on your prelit Christmas trees? There are several ways!
- Do you have cards that are sparkling with scenes that you love? If so, you can cut out the individual scenes that you love, take a hole punch and then string this with some thread and hang onto the tree limbs.
- Take clothes pins and put the entire card onto these tree limbs. Many people even prop these open so that the message can be seen as well as the beautiful side of the card.
- Make a garland from these Christmas cards. Take a thick piece of burlap rope and then take clothes pins and pin these cards onto this garland. Then, you simply string this around the tree to create a garland that has Christmas cards from all sides on it.
- If you find that you want to pick a themed type of Christmas card, then look through those older ones. You could decide on doing a winter theme only using cards that contain snow, or using a theme that is Santa, using all the cards that you have received that are of Santa.
And if you haven’t been saving those cards, you can always buy some of these at the store. Or ask family and friends for those old cards that they don’t really know what to do with. This way your prelit Christmas trees are going to be gorgeous!
