How to fix a prelit Christmas tree
The convenience of prelit Christmas trees eliminates the need to untangle wires and arrange lights. It’s not necessary to wonder if you should spiral the lights around the circumference or drape them between the upper and lower branches, since the lights are already attached. You don’t even have to ensure that the lights are evenly spaced, the manufacturer does it for you. Despite losing the instructions, it’s relatively easy to assemble and plug in a prelit Christmas tree, even if you have lost them. This is a simple guide on how to plug a pre lit Christmas tree.
Step-by-Step Guide to Fix Your Pre-lit Christmas Tree:
- To fix the pre lit Christmas tree firmly to the Christmas tree stand, screw the nuts into the largest branch. Make sure that the electrical plug is plugged into the outlet so all the lights will work. Make sure the plug is unplugged from the wall.
- Put the bottom section into the middle of the tree. Align the two sections according to any grooves, arrows, or markings. If no light sockets are indicated, turn the middle section so the plug for its lights is lined up with the outlet for the extension cord in the lower section. Test the lights again after plugging the tree into the wall.
- In order to finish building the tree, keep adding sections as described, aligning the electrical plugs on the top section with the extension cord on the bottom section. When you add sections, test them to ensure they are not loose or missing.
- If you cannot see light in a section, check if any bulbs are missing. A missing bulb breaks the electrical circuit, preventing any subsequent bulbs from lighting. Make sure the bulb is the brand and size recommended by the manufacturer.
- Push each unlit bulb firmly into its base, but gently. Furthermore, loose bulbs destroy the electrical circuit, which means that none of the bulbs are illuminated. A defective bulb can be replaced, and loose bulbs can be tightened to resolve most issues.
